How to cancel and get a refund
A refund depends on the provider accepting your request under these conditions. It is not a guarantee that a particular service, such as a streaming site, works with the VPN.- Ask for your refund within 30 days. Sign in and open Account & Billing to see which payments are eligible, or ask support by chat or email; refunds usually take up to 7 days and go back to the original payment method, in USD for card and other non-crypto payments (so the amount can differ if you paid in another currency); crypto payments are refunded in the same crypto.
- Then switch off auto-renewal. On the ExpressVPN website, under My subscription: click Cancel subscription below Automatic renewal; it cannot be done inside the app.
- What happens next: You are no longer billed automatically and can keep using ExpressVPN until the last day of the paid period.
Want your money back? Ask for the refund first, within the period, and then check that auto-renewal is off. Switching off auto-renewal on its own only stops the next charge.
Bought in an app store: Bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play: cancel in that store, at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
